Tokyo Game Show, now in its eighth iteration, presents its theme for 2015 - Cutting-Edge Game Ideas from All Over The World! Sense of Wonder Night 2015 (SOWN).
Background to the Event
Sense of Wonder Night (SOWN) 2015, gathers cutting-edge game ideas worldwide and provides opportunities for presentation with resulting awards.
This year's event will be held on September 18th, 2015 during Tokyo Game Show 2015.
The aim of SOWN is to call for new game ideas that will catch people by surprise and give them a “Sense of Wonder” - a sense that something will change in their world right at the instant of first seeing or hearing about the concept. This year SOWN will welcome its 8th anniversary and the number of entries has been increasing exponentially each year.
Entry is open to anyone, regardless of the applicants' amateur/professional status and nationality, and from both individuals and corporate bodies, regardless of their scope and size.
The organizers look forward to receiving innovative ideas to be presented at the Tokyo Game Show 2015, which will be attended by a large number of people from around the world who are involved in the gaming industry.
In 2014, the event received 136 entries from 27 countries and regions. Ten titles were nominated for presentation, including eight from outside Japan.
An audience of more than 350 people gathered for the presentations of unique game ideas.
Benefits on Top of Presentation Opportunity
A maximum 10 of finalists will be provided with free exhibit booths in the Indie Game Area, Business Day entry passes and invitations to the TGS Forum.
