Foodex Japan 2014 is your opportunity to be part of Asia's largest food & drink trade show. This is a chance for UK producers to showcase their food and drink to an expected 75,000 visitors.
FOODEX Japan is a major international food fair held to be held in Tokyo in March 2014. It is held from 4th March to 7th March at Makuhari Messe, part of the International Convention Complex, just outside Tokyo.
This is a major event on the Asian food industry calendar and a great opportunity for UK firms to make contacts and raise their profile in the market.
Following the huge success of Foodex2013, UK Trade & Investment Japan will once again organise a Food is GREAT UK pavilion. This is a great opportunity to get the feedback about your products from professionals from the industry and meet potential importers and new customers from retail and food services.
UKTI Japan help to maximise the number of visitors to a well-branded UK pavilion and provide on-site support. Companies unable to send a representative can take part in a online exhibition and mini-showcase.
A Trade Access Programme (TAP) grant of up to £2,000 is available for 15 companies who will have a booth in the pavilion.
The demand and awareness of UK food and drink is growing, thanks to a national 'Food is GREAT' campaign, and our previous particpation at Foodex going back several years. Authentic products easily associated with Britain are currently the most popular with Japanese consumers. And the market for British beer is also growing, with an increasing awareness of UK quality.
Who takes part in the Show
An expected 75,000 visitors, including producers, agents, distributors across all sectors of the Food & Drink industry in Japan and Asia. Last year's FOODEX Japan attracted 2,000 exhibitors from 66 countries and regions.
